About the event
Join us for our Yom Kippur Congregant's Hour at Temple Emanuel on Saturday, October 12 at 1:00 p.m.. This is a highlight of our Yom Kippur worship! Each person will speak for eight to ten minutes on what being Jewish and the High Holy Days mean to them. These highly personal statements will include thoughts on the religious influences and priorities in their lives today. We will also have the opportunity to dialogue with our speakers. Congregant presenters, Catherine Magid, Eve Knapp, and Noah Levine.
Catherine Magid:
We came to GSO in 1957( now 65 yrs members) and I went to Sunday school, was confirmed and married here. I became a NYC fashion designer, and came back in 1997 and became Sisterhood President, TE board member, and had a Bnai mitzvah with my mom.
